Urban design is concerened with the design of the built environment, including analysis of existing features in terms of landuse, morphology, settlement typology etc, and arriving at suitable solutions for refinement of the environment.
An urban designer has to often work in consultation with professionals from various other disciplines to arrive at policies and also means to implement these.
